For starters we are all active musicians playing electric and acoustic guitars, basses, banjos, mandolins and drums. We share the endless curiosity about how things work and the desire as musicians to sound our best and make our instruments easy to play. I’m Larry Berwald and in 2011 I was teaching guitar when the opportunity to begin repairing fretted instruments came to me, and Rosewood Guitar Repair was born. A few years later, I merged with Music Go Round, Virginia Beach, and was quickly joined by Chris Shaw who was already experienced but has flourished by repairing hundreds of stringed instruments in the years since. More recently and due to a growing demand, as well as our stellar Google rating, we brought in Kyle McKean, an accomplished guitarist who is naturally gifted in this art. Our simple goal with every instrument - old or new, expensive or lower-priced - is to make it the best sounding and easiest playing version of itself. We pride ourselves in paying close attention to specific concerns and the desires of our valued customers.
